Established in 2000, the Greater Peace Community Development Corporation (GPCDC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization working tirelessly to help low to moderate income families across East Alabama through a variety of programs and projects.
The GPCDC believes every member of East Alabama deserves an opportunity to improve his or her quality of life and seeks to revitalize economically distressed areas in Alabama to provide quality and affordable housing to those in need. In addition, the GPCDC provides affordable child care, food assistance, leadership and professional development training, employment opportunities, and resources needed to assist East Alabama residents become more self-sufficient.
With an office on the campus of Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, the GPCDC is conveniently located a mile off I-85 in the Jeter Community of Opelika, Alabama, near Southern Union Community College. Our Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers are committed to working with our community and welcomes you to participate in the numerous activities we host throughout the year.
